This chapter is useful, because it shows how to effectively search and gather information for specific research topics. Most of this information was what our class learned at Dirac library, and it will definitely assist me in project 2. The community I am writing about is the St. Andrew Society of Sarasota. This society is for people of Scottish heritage that live in Sarasota, Florida. For my project, I will research the history of Scotland in order to give my readers a brief background of my community. This chapter is vital for research, because it shows how to cite information from various sources and narrow down information that is relevant to your topic in database searches.
